Overview

On our Safari Adventure, you will be immersed in the East African wilderness. You will travel on rough adventurous roads, pass tiny rural settlements, and see fascinating landscapes and abundant wildlife.

All your senses will be involved; from smelling early morning coffee, and experiencing the thrill of a kill to the chill of a morning game drive. Falling asleep to the hooting of an owl or waking up with the roaring of a lion is what you will experience. The safari experience is all the more intense as you are ‘right in the middle’ of it all. The nearness to nature, especially at night with its nocturnal sounds, compensates for the luxury of a lodge.

Arrival day: Pick up from Kilimanjaro airport and transfer to Planet Lodge for overnight stay

Day 1 – Tarangire National Park

After a delicious Tanzanian breakfast, you are picked up and driven to Tarangire National Park for a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch. In the evening, drive to Mosquito River for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2 –Engaruka Maasai village

After breakfast, you will drive to Engaruka, a traditional Maasai village. Here you will enjoy lunch and a once-in-a-lifetime experience meeting Maasai warriors and mammas. They will warmly welcome you with traditional songs and dance and you can participate in their famous jumping ceremony. Continue onto Lake Natron village for dinner and an overnight stay

Day 3 – Lake Natron

Before sunrise, drive to stunning Lake Natron to watch the sunrise over the alkaline lake covered in glorious pink hues from the flamingos who call the lake home. Return to your accommodation for breakfast and a rest. After lunch, you will visit tranquil Engaresero waterfalls for a swim and some R+R. While staying at Lake Natron village, you will be able to view the imposing beauty of Ol Doinyo Lengai, an active volcano and a sacred place for the Maasai tribe. Enjoy dinner and an early night.

Day 4 – Serengeti National Park

After an early breakfast, depart for the Serengeti National Park where you will do a game drive on route to your safari accommodation at Kati Kati Tented Lodge. Enjoy dinner in the home of the Big 5 in the world’s most famous National Park.

Day 5 – Serengeti National Park

Early morning game drive to optimise animal spotting then return to accommodation for breakfast. This is followed by a full-day game drive. Return to your accommodation for a delicious dinner and early night

Day 6 – Serengeti National Park

Awake early for another pre-dawn game drive exploring the vast wildlife and wilderness the Serengeti has on offer. Return for lunch, some R+R and dinner at your accommodation.
