Overview

On our Safari Adventure, you will be immersed in the East African wilderness. You will travel on rough adventurous roads, pass tiny rural settlements, and see fascinating landscapes and abundant wildlife.

All your senses will be involved; from smelling early morning coffee, and experiencing the thrill of a kill to the chill of a morning game drive. Falling asleep to the hooting of an owl or waking up with the roaring of a lion is what you will experience. The safari experience is all the more intense as you are ‘right in the middle’ of it all. The nearness to nature, especially at night with its nocturnal sounds, compensates for the luxury of a lodge.

Arrival day: Pick up from Kilimanjaro airport and transfer to Planet Lodge for overnight stay

Day 1 – Lake Manyara

After a delicious Tanzanian breakfast, you are picked up and driven to Lake Manyara National Park known for its incredible biodiversity. Enjoy a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch. Drive onto Karatu for dinner and overnight stay at Farm House or Tloma Lodge.

Day 2 – Serengeti National Park:

After breakfast, leave for the great Serengeti National Park via the Ngorongoro highland mountains. Enjoy a game drive and picnic lunch on route to Kati Kati Tented Lodge where you will stay overnight.

Day 3 – Full Day at Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, spend a full day exploring the unique landscape of the Serengeti, home to millions of different species. Return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4 – Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, depart onto Ngorongoro Crater where you will enjoy a half-day game drive and a tasty picnic lunch. Here you will see the world’s largest intact caldera, home to some of the most beautiful wildlife havens on earth. Continue onto Karatu for dinner and accommodation at Farm House or Tloma Lodge.

Day 5 – Lake Eyasi

Depart after breakfast to Lake Eyasi. On route, visit the Bushman tribe famous for their clicking language and hunter/gatherer way of life. Enjoy a picnic lunch before heading onto Tarangire National Park for dinner and an overnight stay at Burunge Tented Lodge.

Day 6 – Tarangire National Park

Breakfast is followed by a game drive through Tarangire National Park, known for its huge baobab trees and vast Elephant numbers. Enjoy lunch and a relaxing afternoon before dinner and another night at Burunge Tented Lodge.
